Stop Guessing.
See Your True Yardage.
TrueYardage adjusts every club in your bag for the conditions you're actually playing in — temperature, elevation, barometric pressure, and humidity — so the number you see is the number you play.

How TrueYardage Works
Set your baseline: the conditions where you dialed in your carry distances. TrueYardage syncs live weather and elevation from your location, calculates air density, and shows you adjusted yardages in real time.
- 1
Set your baseline conditions (your home course temperature, elevation, pressure, humidity).
- 2
Enter your carry distances for each club at those baseline conditions.
- 3
On the course: open TrueYardage and sync GPS to pull live weather data.
- 4
See your adjusted carry numbers for every club based on current conditions.
Features Built for Serious Golfers
We use a physics-based air density model — not naive linear adjustments — to give you realistic carry changes based on conditions.
Adjusted Carry Distances
Every club in your bag shows both baseline and adjusted yardages based on live environmental data.
Real-Time GPS Weather Sync
Automatically pulls live weather data at your location. No manual entry required.
Environmental Breakdown
See exactly how temperature, elevation, pressure, and humidity each affect your shots. Per-factor yardage delta.
Interactive Playground
Enter any yardage and see what it plays for today's conditions. Instant feedback with environmental sliders.
Simulator Mode
Test 'what if' scenarios for upcoming rounds at different courses and conditions before you play.
Customizable Baseline
Set your home course baseline conditions (temp, elevation, pressure, humidity) for accurate adjustments.
Dark Mode
Full support for light, dark, and system themes. Easier on the eyes during early morning and twilight rounds.
Privacy-First
No user accounts. No ads. Location used only for weather data (not stored remotely).
Offline-Capable
Works without internet after initial weather sync. Cached weather data ensures you're never stranded.
Physics-Based Air Density Calculations
TrueYardage doesn't guess. We use physics-based air density calculations grounded in atmospheric science (ISA standards) to model how environmental factors affect ball flight.
Cold air is denser (ball flies shorter). Hot air is thinner (ball flies farther). ~±2 yards per 10°F change.
Higher altitude = thinner air = more carry. At Denver (5,280ft), expect 2-15% longer distances.
High pressure = denser air (shorter). Low pressure = thinner air (longer). ~1-2 yards per 0.5 inHg change.
Humid air is less dense than dry air (water vapor is lighter). Minor effect but we factor it in.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are the yardage adjustments?
TrueYardage uses physics-based air density calculations grounded in atmospheric science. At standard conditions (sea level, 59°F, 1013.25 hPa), our model matches ISA (International Standard Atmosphere) air density of 1.225 kg/m³. At altitude (Denver, 5,280ft), we calculate 2-15% carry increases based on air density reduction. While we use established atmospheric physics, individual results will vary based on swing speed, launch angle, and spin rate.
Do I need internet access on the course?
Only for the initial weather sync. After that, TrueYardage works offline using cached weather data. You can also manually adjust conditions in Simulator mode if you're in airplane mode.
Does TrueYardage replace my rangefinder?
No — TrueYardage complements your rangefinder. Use your rangefinder (or course GPS) to get the distance to the pin, then check TrueYardage to see your adjusted carry number for that club. For example, if your rangefinder says 150 yards and it's cold + high altitude, your 150-yard club might only carry 147 yards adjusted — now you know to club up.
How does TrueYardage get weather data?
When you tap 'Sync GPS,' TrueYardage pulls live temperature, elevation, barometric pressure, and humidity for your location. If pressure data isn't available, we calculate it from elevation.
Does TrueYardage collect or store my location or personal data?
We use GPS only to fetch weather data. Your location is not stored remotely or shared with third parties beyond the weather provider needed for that request. There are no user accounts, and we do not sell your information. See our Privacy Policy.
What is barometric pressure and why does it matter?
Barometric pressure is the weight of the air above you. Higher pressure = denser air = ball flies shorter. Lower pressure = thinner air = ball flies farther. Effect: ~1-2 yards per 0.5 inHg change on a 200-yard shot. TrueYardage auto-syncs pressure when you tap 'Sync GPS,' and we include an in-app guide explaining typical values (standard 29.92 inHg, high 30.2-31.0, low 28.5-29.5).
